Computer Accuracy (COMPACC):
What is it?
Complex calculations with a
manual flight computer such as the E6B or CR-3.
Can you describe it in more detail?
Computer Accuracy or "COMPACC" is one of
the Flight Team's "Big Three" ground events. The event is a calculation
based test where competitors use the manual E6-B and CR-3.
What are the competition
tests like?
Competitors are given anywhere
from 40 to 50 questions that are multiple choice with up to five
write-in answers. Questions may involve anything from simple
conversions, to radius of action, and other performance problems. The
competitor with the most correct answers will win the event. Any ties
that exist will be broken by whomever finished the test first. Five
competitors are selected to represent ERAU in COMPACC. For the official
NIFA testing and event rules please visit
NIFA's website.
How do I become a part of COMPACC?
In order to be eligible you
must be a member of the Eagles Flight Team. Once you are a member simply
attend the weekly sessions hosted by the coaches. They will be glad to
help you along your journey to become a successful COMPACC
